Today we really focussed on bars 8 and 9 of Autumn, s well as the last two bars. We are performing this piece next week so we also talked about performance skills.

Please make sure you can say, pluck and bow bars 8 and 9. The string crossings are tricky. Try and keep your fingers prepared by hovering them close to the strings. Keeping your violin in a good position will make the string crossing easier too (good position - violin round on the shoulder and fingerboard should be horizontal not droopy).

We will practise going from rest to playing position all together next week, and making sure we have our eyes up at the end to make sure we bring our bows off together.

Please make sure you are confident with all of these notes for next Saturday.

It sounded great today, but we were missing a few friends :) Hope to see you all next week.
