Here is the backing track for Santa's Little Helper, which we will be learning for the Christmas concert.

Sorry we couldn't be altogether on Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you all again next week. In the meantime, please keep practising D major scale - remember there is a backing track below to play along to. And there is a new song that I would like to teach you, ready for learning to play it next week. Please learn it with me in this recording.

We have been working hard on playing D major scale really fluently and had a go at splitting into two groups and playing it in canon (as a round) this week. Being able to do this successfully is one of our key targets this term. Here is a backing track to help you practise the scale on your own. Hold each note for 4 beats and use long bows.

We have been working on playing D major scale altogether in ensemble. 

Violins, violas and cellos play:

Basses play:

d  r  m f  s  l

Can you practise this scale with different rhythms on each pitch e.g. jogging jogging walk walk on each pitch? Make up a couple of different rhythms.

We learned a song called "Wake up in the Morning'. Can you remember it? Here is a recording to help you.
