I really enjoyed our lesson today! We looked at:
Big Ben, Little Ben, Trick or Treat, and Ready Steady Bow in our Violin Star 1.
The BOW!!!
It is great that you are so keen to use your bows. Today we explored the bows and practiced our banana bow holds. Please see the pictures below and practice the banana poem (fingers and thumb would hang like a bunch of bananas) and practice your belly button bows. Remember, you need to make sure you thumb is a little "thumb hill"! You can practice your bow holds anywhere on a pencil or pen!
We then practiced bowing from station to station - yellow strip to blue strip- making sure to stay in the gap between the fingerboard and the bridge.
