We talked about slurs in our lesson today, as well as doing performance preparation.
Please could you practise your D major scales (going up only), adding slurs. This means that you have two notes in the bow, instead of 1. Please practise it like this: ( ∩ = slur)
D ∩ 1 sh 2 ∩ 3 sh A ∩ 1 sh 2 ∩ 3
Then we'd like you to practise slurring from open A to 3 on the D (called G) a few times. You need to move your bow from the A string to the D string, and go from no fingers to 3 fingers. It's tricky so take your time, and think carefully about what you're doing.
