Great work on slurs today everyone!

We worked hard on adding slurs to our D major scales up and down. Please practise the whole scale now like this:

When that is feeling confident you can take the rests out:

We discussed all the dynamics in Gypsy Fiddle today. (Dynamics is the name we use for the letters/words that tell us about volume). We talked about the following dynamics:

f  =  forte  =  strong/loud

mf  =  mezzo forte  =  medium loud

mp  =  mezzo piano  =  medium quiet

p  =  piano  =  soft/quiet

<  = crescendo  =  gradually getting louder.

Aiden shared with us that if you play with a tilted bow near or over the fingerboard you will find a soft sound. If you use your bow near the fingerboard it will make a louder sound - thanks Aiden! Could you all experiment with this this week and practise all of Gypsy Fiddle including the dynamics please?

Well done!
