Welld oen today Larks!

A lot of what we did today was consolidation (revising and practising work from earlier weeks).

Please practise all 3 arpeggios for next week. I'm going to listen to you each individually next week so please make sure your arpeggios are confident.

Just a reminder:

D major arpeggio = D  F#  A  D  A  F#  D     or     D  2  A  3  A  2  D

A major arpeggio = A  C#  E  A  E  C#  A     or     A  2  E  3  E  2  A

G major arpeggio = G  B  D  G  D  B  G     or     G  2  D  3  D  2  G

To help play your arpeggios smoothly remember to do the finger preparation we practised. When you are playing your open string, get your next fingers ready for the next note and have them hovering over the string.

In preparation for Collier's Waltz, you could play your A and D scales as you'll find these notes in this piece. Aother thing you could try is going from low D (0d) to high D (3a) a few times, and then open A (0a) to high A (3e) a few times, and again, practise the finger preparation.

Please practise both A sections of Collier's Waltz so they are very confident. The more confident you are with it, the easier you will find it to play together next week. Remember to count to 3 for your dotted minims.
