Hello Ewen and Gael,

Sorry that Jo was not able to teach you on Saturday but I very much enjoyed having some time to work with you on Hydom Tiddlydom. We made some good progress with this melody. Please could you continue to practise it in the way that we did in the lesson?

  1. Practise the phrase endings that we have identified: mi fa so, mi re do, mi re mi. Play these repeatedly until they feel very comfortable and you are happy with the sound that you are making.
  2. Practise the phrase openings for the verse and chorus separately: do so so fa, do mi mi fa
  3. Practise connecting together the phrase openings with the phrase endings.
  4. When you feel that these phrases are becoming more fluent, try playing the whole piece. Singing it while you play will be very helpful.

I'm looking forward to hearing your progress on this next week. Please could you also practise Senua de Dende?
