Hello Larks,
This week, we introduced a new warm-up piece for this term's ensemble rehearsals. It is a beautiful song called Banuwa. Can you ask a grown-up to help you find out where in the world it comes from? You will hear lots of slightly different versions recorded on the internet because it is a folk music, which people teach to each other by ear, without writing songs down. This means that they often change a bit when someone passes them on - it's a bit like a game of Chinese Whispers!
Sword Dance
Please could you practise playing Sword Dance up to letter A this week? If you would like to look at the next section too, please do! You should have the sheet music but do ask if you need another copy.
