Amazing performance yesterday!
I was especially impressed with how well you played with Sarah without ever having played it with a pianist before.
We are going to start exploring dropping and placing our first fingers on the fingerboard. Since we are not seeing each other on Saturday, you need to do a bit more prep at home:
-Left hand work out. Here's a video of half of headless me! Practice it at home, aim to do it once a day. Do you notice a difference between the first and last time you complete the video?
-Circle madness (vamoosh song 9) This is to really consolidate our reading of open strings on the violin. We will play this song together as a warm up next time we see each other, so try to learn it as best you can. Notice how the lady in the video plays the bars with rests, what is her bow arm doing? (hint: if you listen carefully, you can hear her say 'big circle' )
