Hi Bluebirds,

Well done this week!

New things:

We have been learning to use our bow on our knee - practise finding your belly button bow with your L shaped thumb and lots of space in your hand. Attached the the Rocks, a piece that you can practise 4 side to sides on your knee.

We are practising our Left Hand shape too - LH out to the side, make a telescope shape with your thumb and middle finger, thumb to the ceiling and fold in. Fingers on top of you D string, thumb on the back of the cello neck. Then practise pressing the strings down and try to pluck your D string and see if you can make a sound.

Keep practising you pieces too pizzicato!

Well done,

Stephen

p.s. there are some pictures of what your bow hold should look like in the 'help with bows' section on the bluebirds page!
