Happy new year Bluebirds!

Lovely to see you all today, you remembered lots of the good left hand set up work we did before Christmas so well done.

Today we were practising putting 1st fingers on the D  string. We discovered that this note is called 'E' - but it is different to our open E string! 1 on the D is a low E, and our E strings are a high E. Do you remember we looked on the piano and discovered there are lots of Es! It's important to make sure you are confident which E you are playing.

Keep your fingers curled onto the sticker the furthest away from you. Your left finger has to go on the D string, and your right hand has to pluck or bow on your D string.

We sang the following piece in 3 different ways:

D D E E etc.

D D 1 1 etc.

Do Do Re Re etc.

Please sing it in those 3 ways again so you can get used to all the different ways that we talk about these notes.

Please try plucking it all the way through. If you feel confident with this then add your bow please.
