Hello Bluebirds!

I was sooo impressed with your Gow's Reel today - you all played this so confidently and played together so well. Well done.

We focussed on 2 main things today - fingers and G string notes.

Fingers first...

Please practise doing 0  0  1  1  2  2  3  3  on all your strings.

Use your stickers and ears to guide you. If you are finding that the G string is tricky to reach, you may need to remember to put your violin further round on your shoulder (grown ups... the violin should be pointing at 10 o' clock). Remember to keep your fingers curly and your wrist down.

G string notes

We had a look at Jitterbug today, which involves G low A, D and low E

(low A = 1 on G, low E = 1 on D).

Please have a look at the first 2 lines. Remember that the first tow notes are strides (2 beat notes) so use a slower bow on these.

As always... please sing note names, sing finger numbers, pluck it, bow it :)!

Have fun!
