Get ready to play routine:
Feet ready! (Stamp stamp - flat feet)
Basses ready! (Well positioned and balanced, sticker in line with eye)
LH ready! (telescopes, fold arm in, thumb on plaster, curved fingers, helium balloon elbow)
Bows ready! (On the starting string, + shape, between fingerboard and bridge)

Practice this with a focus on the bow - are you travelling and using lots of bow to make a lovely sound? Check bows aren’t on the fingerboard but have a good contact point.
Chinese New Year
Focus on A string version - using on A and B
Use the new sheets to practice singing words, notes and finger numbers for A string version first, which we will play in our sharing next week. Then try with the stave notation versions I gave you last week. Once you’re confident with the A string version try all of the string versions using same finger pattern.
Remember to try about half a bow for ti-ti rhythms and nice long bows on the tas to let the string ring.
