Hello Larks!
Today we recapped how to make arpeggios.
Do (Re) Mi (Fa) So (La Ti) Do' = Do Mi So Do'
We practised the D major arpeggio that we started last week. We then used the sol fa to discover the notes of the A and G major arpeggios too. Please practise them in the following way:
D major
Sing Do Mi So Do' So Mi Do
Sing D F# A D A F# D
Sing D 2 A 3 a 2 d
Play!
G major
Sing Do Mi So Do' So Mi Do
Sing G B D G D B G
Sing G 2 D 3 D 2 G
Play!
A major
Sing Do Mi So Do' So Mi Do
Sing A C# E A E C# A
Sing A 2 E 3 E 2 A
Play!
Colliers Waltz
Please practise up to the repeat sign on line 2. Watch out for the big jumps between low A and high A (or open A and 3 on the E) and low D and high D (or open D and 3 on the A). Whilst playing the open string get your 3rd finger ready for the next note.
