Hi everyone!
Well done in our lesson today - you've all done very well at learning the names of your strings.
Cello Time Starters:
1) please make sure your name is in your book - page 2
2) page 4 - sing the song to the tune of 'Head, shoulders, knees and toes' and touch the correct parts of your cello whilst you sing
3) draw the lines to the parts on the cello (page 4)
4) page 6 - 'At the zoo' - how many other animals can you think of and pluck beginning with A, D, G and C?
Vamoosh:
1) keep practising 'Willow Water' - try playing it with the backing track....(I hope the attachment works!)

2) 'Jig' - practice it without the backing track first as it goes quite fast! It also repeats when you get to the end so be ready to start again when you get to the end!
Here's the backing track:

And finally......make yourself some rhythm cards (ta, ti-ti and rests), choose 4 cards and try plucking them on each string. For example you might choose....ta, ta, ti-ti, ta - pluck it on C, then G, then D, then A.
Don't forget your mouse and the 'feet police'!
Remember you can put your cellos in our lesson room when you arrive. See you all next week!
Oooops, I almost forget - don't forget to practice 'Hot Cross Buns' for Sarah's Ensemble lesson too!
