Hello Dylan and Olympia,
Here are some lesson notes from Sarah, who taught you while Jo was away on Saturday.
Today we were exploring what the open string notes on our basses look like when they are notated on a musical stave. Here they are.
And we worked on sitting well with our basses - with our left leg behind, supporting the instrument.
We played Mountain Rockers, and composed a piece called 'DAD'. Please could you practise playing these at home?
Mountain Rockers is an open string warm-up. Remember to try not to look at your strings when you play!
As well as playing ‘DAD’, we plotted the notes on the stave. Here is a link to some blank stave paper for you to print and use to show your family how to do this, too.

It was great to hear you both perform your own open string compositions to each other. I'm sure your families would enjoy some performances, too!
Finally, we started St Anthony’s Choral, which is in your Vamoosh books.
Happy practising!
