Hi Bluebirds,
Welcome back after half term!
Today we did a revision of our bow holds, making sure we have our L-Shaped Thumb and strong finger shape (especially our pinky finger).
We looked at creating our own rhythms and learned a new rhythm too.
4 sounds on one beat is called a tika-tika! You can see what it looks like in the photo here.
Try and make you own rhythms up with tika-tika at home and play them on each string pizzicato and with your bow.
We also looked at our new orchestra piece and practised changing strings and rhythms at the same time and keeping our pulse.
Please remember your pieces too - St Anthony Chorale, Copy Cat Blues, Mini Mozart!
Have a good week!
Stephen
