The theme of today's lesson was-

Attention to Musical markings in the music 

warm up remember your set up- feet/posture/curved fingers on bow hold /left hand shape.
G Major Scale.- play in dotted minims/3 crotchets/ minim-crotchet 

can you play the scale quietly? Can you play the scale loudly?

can you start quiet and get louder and the other way around? 

'Air Bow' Caribbean Moonlight while hearing the music in your head. Count carefully on the dotted minims. Smooth movement on the slurred bows. Remember keep the point of the bow pointing at the sky!

Attention to the musical details 

Think about the dynamics- loud/quiets/crescendos/diminuendos. Different ways to grade dynamics. 
Light/ glide bow for quiet bows. Smaller bows or big full bows/ bow weight play 'into the string' for big full sound Speed changes - rit. Slow down at the end. 

Technical focus-

bow circles'grapes' small bow retakes/ 'oranges' bigger/ Mia suggested'watermelon' circles in the bar rest for the three counts. Can you do the bow circle in 3 counts?
