There are two wireless networks available for student use at the RNCM:

RNCM-General

You can log into this using your college username ( or email address) and password.  This connects you for up to 24 hours, after which time the connection will be reset.

To connect just select RNCM-General from the WiFi networks that your device can see, and you will be automatically forwarded to the log-in page.

You will need to login to RNCM-General every 24 hours which is why we recommend setting up eduroam.

If, after you connect to RNCM-General it doesn't load up a login page try going to any webpage in your browser and the login page should appear.

eduroam

Once you have set this up your device will connect automatically whenever you are in range of the network, so in the long term it is a lot more convenient than RNCM General.

Also it is an international network which lets you connect to WiFi at any eduroam participating institution worldwide. You will need to configure your device (phone/laptop/tablet) before use.

*Note - Your username for eduroam is your RNCM email address

For example - Joe.Bloggs@rncm.ac.uk or Joe.Bloggs@student.rncm.ac.uk

Full instructions on how to setup eduroam on your device can be found here

The easiest way to to set up eduroam is to download the installer from their website here https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=278

More information about the Eduroam network is available here

The Cloud

If you don't have RNCM login details because you're a visitor or a member of Junior RNCM you can use The Cloud. To use The Cloud simply connect to it and a login page will load up. You will need to create an account to use The Cloud but it is free of charge.
