eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. RNCM students and staff can connect to the wireless networks of other participating education institutions, both in the UK and abroad, also, visitors from other participating institutions can access the RNCM's wireless network.
Please find links below to instructions on how to set up your particular device. You will need to follow these instructions again whenever you change your password.
Visitors to the RNCM should normally contact their home institution for support, in the first instance.
If your home institution has confirmed that their eduroam service is operating correctly, we may be able to offer limited support. For this, ask reception to contact the IT department.
Once your device is correctly configured for eduroam at the RNCM, it will work seamlessly at any other eduroam institution, without the need for reconfiguration.
Use of the any of the college's wireless networks, including eduroam, implies consent with the relevant sections of the Janet eduroam Policy, and the RNCM's IT Acceptable Use Policy (Section 2A of IT Policies v1.6). It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with these policies.
No interception proxies are used.
The eduroam service is offered at our site, Royal Northern College of Music, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9RD.
The eduroam SSID is available across the entire college.
