Gemma's thoughts:
By the time we reach college and degree level music, it
can feel like people expect us to have mastered the art of practice.
I believe that it’s the opposite. For most, being a
musician at conservatoire is VERY different and we need to learn how to
practice sustainably in this new, pressured environment.
There’s nothing embarrassing about not knowing how to
practice efficiently. It’s what we spend a lot of our time doing at
