You may not be aware that the RNCM is a charity (charity registration numbers 504948 (Awards Fund) and 504949 (Endowment Fund)), meaning that it has a charitable mission (to educate and train musicians to the highest level in an environment that is both stimulating and rich in opportunity, for the benefit of individuals and society at large) and that it is not for profit (i.e. any funds raised must be reinvested into the charity’s objectives, and profits cannot be distributed to owners or directors).
The Development Team raises around £3m a year from a wide range of sources, including individual donors, trusts and foundations, corporate businesses, ticket bookers, members, legacies and public appeals. These funds go towards student support, learning and participation projects for young people, building works, and all sorts of special projects across the College.
Each year the Development Team produces an Annual Impact Report, to demonstrate the achievements of all the activity supported by external donors across the RNCM. Past Annual Impact Reports can be accessed via the Downloads section on the RNCM website.
