As Head of Music, Health and Wellbeing, I oversee the work of the RNCM's Health & Wellbeing Hub and teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students. I also undertake my own research. My role includes managing a interdisciplinary team of academic and support staff, who are here to advise, inform, train, educate and support you. It's my pleasure to work with wonderful colleagues who collaborate daily on an integrated approach to student wellbeing.

How we can help: Our role is to support your wellbeing while you are at College, whether that’s an issue affecting your studies, personal problems that you’re experiencing or an injury or condition. We will talk to you about what you’re experiencing and then work with you to consider what you need and what the next steps for support could be.
You can choose how much to tell us about your situation – we will use what you tell us only for the purpose of getting the right support to you for your studies.
Find out more about what you can expect from us, how to book and where to find us in the "Meet with a Student Wellbeing Advisor" section further down this page.

Counselling provides an opportunity for you to explore any issues you may wish to talk about with someone who is not directly involved in the situation you are trying to deal with. This may be about anything that is on your mind, or which may be affecting you and/or the way you relate to others.
The College counsellors won’t pass judgement or give advice but try and assist you to find your own solutions. Their main concern is to help you discover a more fulfilling and satisfying way of leading your life.
The service is free of charge and anything you choose to bring to counselling will be treated with confidentiality.
