  • What is Mental Health First Aid?

By having trained Mental Health First Aiders in College, the College aims to support the wellbeing of both our staff and students. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help offered to a person developing a mental health issue, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health issue or in a mental health crisis. All calls for a Mental Health Fist Aider will be treated in confidence.
    • Contact Security/Reception – call on Ext 300 or go to Reception in person.. A Mental Health First Aider will be summoned and will attend the person.
    • If an ambulance is needed, the Mental Health First Aider or Security/Reception will call 999.
    • Security/Reception will meet/direct/assist the ambulance crew on their arrival.
